This is a wonderful post. My eldest girls and I loved looking at your pets this mornings. we would love some chickens ourselves...I'm quite sympatico with chickens. LOL! I really envy you your lifestyle - in fact self-sufficiency is a bit of a dream for me. I'm more self-sufficientish!!

Oh, I meant to say that I'm a former soaper - I gave up when my youngest hit two! (Too dangerous to cold compress with a toddler doing her thing!) But, I'll start again when she's older. I used to sell it at farmer's markets. The most profitable craft I've ever done...goat's milk castille was always one of my favourites!

Your last post has reduced me to a big pile of tears.... but this one cheered me up.... a little. How I wish I could have been there to help you. I probably would have been a blubbering mess though, better off in Australia, me thinks. Bless you Peggy.... for sharing yourself so very thoroughly and lovingly with us all. xox

That was great, Peggy. I hadn't realised that you had such a varied menagerie out there.

Your garden is looking lovely, especially those big shady trees.
