This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

I Cheated
Yes, I know we were suppose to mail our package to be received the second week of October BUT I was too excited to wait, plus I wanted to get the package in the mail so I could start working on the collages. ( yeah, sorry excuse) I have had my package ready to go for a couple of weeks and just couldn't stand it any longer. I had so much fun putting it together and writing little notes about different items. I put in one of my mothers aprons from the 50's, a box of my dads hankies (still all wrapped up like new from the 40's) a vintage collar for a man's shirt, vintage postcards, vintage photos, a 1950's farm journal, a 60's country ideal book, a vintage child's book, vintage table cloth and 2 napkins, a crocheted dollie, a vintage powder tin which I put homemade soap in. 2 women's patterns from the 1940's, and a paper fan with wooden handle like the funeral homes use to give out to the churchs to use in the hot summers. I hope Laurie enjoys her package as much as I enjoyed putting it together! But Shhhhhhh! Don't tell her! LOL When I came back from the post office I had a package from Vintage Housekeepers Circle! I now have Paris Rain Laundry Detergent in a beautiful glass bottle, Paris rain Sheet Spray and lots of samples of Paris Rain body soap, hand soap, whitner for laundry and fabric softner! What a nice surprise! This is turning out to be a wonderful day!
