Someone had ask me why I burn my leaves and I am just now getting around to answering them. We have tons and I really me tons of leaves on our property. We hadn't lived here in 3 years and the leaves had piled up so bad that the grass was dead. We have a mulch pile and a compost pile but I have to burn a lot of the leaves to keep them off the grass so it won't die. I have just now gotten the leaves off the ground to where our grass started coming back and looking nice. Our whole property is covered in big old oak trees, pine trees, and dogwoods. Its like we have a big canopy over our property so that means we have leaves. Lots of leaves! William mulches some for me to use around plants and flowers and we put some in the compost pile but we really have way too many to use so I burn some or try to. Molly has gotten to where she runs and rolls in the piles while I am raking so they get scattered and I have to rake them back into a pile. She is just like a kid sometimes.
I was also asked if Brandy was receiving her postcards and she is. She is loving all the postcards so far and has some nice vintage ones she is going to be mailing out to everyone soon. I still haven't gotten her talked into blogging yet.
Here is a picture of the pressed tin pitcher and drinking cups I purchased for $2.50 and the perfume bottle I purchased for a friend for Christmas for only $2.00!

I just love reading your blog Peggy. Those goodies you bought are so sweet, and such a bargain too! I also wanted to thank you for the Postcard I received yesterday ~ it's lovely and I sent some more off yesterday including one for Brandy. I have just got back from the letterbox, and found one from Brandy :)
Its fun to see your 'treasures'. I like the heart shape of the perfume bottle. What a great find with both of your things. I also like your wallpaper that shows behind your pitcher and glasses!
Oh I love that pitcher and cups. What a find!
