I have been catching up on my letter writing and package mailing this morning. William has left heading for Wisconsin after he picks up his truck. He has been home while having repairs made and it was ready this morning. Glad the semi doesn't need repair often as they are expensive! I did get to fix him an early lunch before he left and sent a plate of leftovers with him. William has a fridge, microwave, skillet, toaster, coffeepot and grill in his truck so he can warm-up leftovers I send and also cook his meals on the road. He usually eats out one meal a day and the rest he fixes in his truck. (his home away from home). I got my season swap package all finished and mailed this morning and a little package to a special blog friend of mine. Can't wait to hear about it online as this thing I found for her was made JUST FOR HER I am sure!!! Anyway we are enjoying the rain here. We have had a downpour all night and day today but was much needed as we haven't had any rain to amount to anything in 8 weeks. The winds have been light so far so I have enjoyed having a inside day except when I went to the post office. Have a crockpot of 15 Bean Stew cooking as its nice and cool here. I am having a wonderful relaxing day and hope you are too! (Recipe from Wendy at Peace and Carrots Homestead)

15 Bean Stew
1 lb. Mix 15 dry beans
4 Knorr chicken bouillon cubes
water to cover...Add as you cook to desired thickness
4 stalks celery, chopped
2 onions, chopped
1 head garlic, peeled
1 tsp. Oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. Sausage, I use Kielbasa cut up in bite size pieces
1 lb. Mixed frozen vegetables
Put all but frozen vegies in crockpot. Cook until beans are getting tender. Add frozen vegies and desired water, cook another hour or two. Supper's on! ;-)
