This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Well I tried to rake the leaves this morning. The breeze kept reminding me that there was still tons more to fall. At least I got some of them up and out of the way. I love our trees in the summer as they make a canopy over our house and yard and they keep us nice and cool. Then comes fall and the trees start losing their leaves and I have to pay for enjoying the summer shade. But that's okay, its worth it! I have also finally finished cleaning out all the kitchen cabinets. They have new shelf liners and I found room to put all the things I brought from the other house. I also threw away 5 trash bags full of things I took out of the cabinets. I moved my antique icebox so I would have a space for my Hoosier cabinet I want to bring down this weekend. Sharon is going to help me move some more items from Lexington if I ever get things moved around here so I will have room for them. The day has been so nice that I just had to work outside for part of it, but now I had better get busy on the inside. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
