Happy Belated Birthday Brannon

Picture is Brannon and Maggie, my #1 daughter.

I have let time get away from me (old age memory got the best of me) and my son in law Brannon didn't get harassed by me this year. Every year he and I love to "torment" each other with crazy cards on birthdays and every Christmas we try to outdo each other on getting the most tacky Elvis gift. (we don't like Elvis) This year I got busy with the house and everything and his birthday slipped by (Nov. 2nd). So to embarrass him I am going to write about him here. When I first met Brannon I really didn't know if I liked him or didn't like him. He DIDN"T speak! He was very very shy and just sat and smiled a lot. But anyone that knows our family knows you can't be shy and survive around us! He now speaks, jokes and tries to get the best of me whenever he can. He is a part of the family that we can't do without. Brannon is a very talented artist and can do portraits that are breathtaking. He is the type of daddy that all kids want. He can play all video games and probably has every one made. He has a DVD and video collection that makes all my grandkids drool besides having a movie room with big screen TV. He loves his daughters and tries hard to talk Raigun into being a little lady though it will never happen. Brannon just give the girl her super hero's and forget the ribbons and bows! He loves to tease and play with Kristine. They love watching scary movies together and laughing about how they are made. He would do anything for his sister in laws though he enjoys laughing at their "blonde moments" far to much! He is a husband that every woman dreams about. He doesn't get mad and yell. He is so calm and easy going. Good thing as he has to take the calm roll with Maggie sometimes as she takes after her mom (me of course). Give the guy a cheeseburger and hot sauce 3 meals a day and he would be fine. He does love my homestead stew though and I think I got him to eat cornbread once. He has a very large collection of dolls!! Okay guess I have to add that they are character dolls.... Like all the star wars figures etc... Any doll or figure that was a cartoon, movie or TV show. And he has an awesome collection of comic books that if sold would put his girls thru college. His dream is to go to Ireland. He wants to redo their dining room into a Irish pub. He doesn't watch sports (except wrestling) and his ideal weekend is to spend every minute with his wife and daughters . He loves to go to flea markets, thriftstores, bookstores and even shop for clothes! He is a wonderful son in law but please don't let him know that. It might make his head swell! I have every birthday card he ever signed because his comments always make me laugh no matter how many times I read them. I have all the tacky Elvis presents he has given me and the books on growing old when I turned 50. I did torment him pretty bad when he turned 30.... and can't wait for his 40th!!! So though I may have forgotten your special day Brannon, I haven't forgotten you and how special you are. Thanks for being part of our family! (Is your face red yet??????)
