Had a wonderful Christmas weekend! Part of family tradition is I read the Happy Birthday Jesus book and then the children bake and decorate a Happy Birthday cake for Jesus. This year Maggie put a candle for each of the grandchildren on the cake. Each one got to blow out one candle after they said one thing they were thankful for. Woody the tallest standing and looking off to the side said it all when he said..... I am thankful Jesus died for our sins so we can go to Heaven. He is only 10 years old but this really touched my heart. Have more pictures and stories to share but have unpacking to do and am tired from the trip..... See everyone tomorrow.

beautiful photo and beautiful memories you helped create.
Such a great time you had! It's very good to see people who remember that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus. You have a great family.
Oh I love it...the wisdom and love of children...so precious! This photo is just great with no flash I think. Glad you had such a special Christmas time. I love the birthday cake for Jesus...time to do that here. I read on someone's blog that after they put their tree up her husband had everyone hold hands around the tree and sing Silent Night....oh the joy that comes from loving Jesus!
Glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas weekend with your precious family...I love kids, and how they often remind us about the important things!

Wow - what a fun weekend. Great memories, tears, lots of good food - all the good stuff. I love the idea of a secondhand Christmas. Money goes a lot further that way.
Your stocking from Scotland was so neat too. How cool to get that.
What a wonderful tradition! Thank you for sharing...
