This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. Garden Order
I think I am going to have to take out a loan! I just finished getting my seed and plant orders together and ready to go out in the morning's mail. The total of all made me say ouch! But I can't wait till I am getting dirty planting everything. I ordered the normal corn, beans, potatoes, tomatoes but I also ordered red, white and blue corn, red, white and blue potatoes, Burgundy okra, white cucumbers, moon and stars watermelon, blue berry bushes, strawberries, and every kind of herb I could find. I ordered these pole beans that have beautiful red flowers so I am going to grow them tepee style to enjoy the blooms. And of course I ordered tons of flower plants and seeds. Not only do I plan on having a beautiful, colorful garden I plan on canning and freezing a lot of food next fall. If you get hungry next winter... Come on over, hopefully we will have plenty!
