Today has been a wonderful day! First of all Daisy and Donald Duck now live at Hidden Haven. They are blue swiss ducklings and are doing well with the chickens. They haven't dipped their "toes" in the pond (child's wading pool but don't tell them) yet but am sure they will get around to it tomorrow. Will take a close up photo when they are all settled in.
Now the BIGGEST news of all..... Miss Diva is getting a boyfriend! He is much younger but I am sure she will like him and hopefully fall in love with him as he gets older. Matthew will be coming to the homestead in July. He is part Nubian and part Boer and is a very sweet young gentleman. Miss Diva doesn't know yet and we are going to surprise her but I am sure she will be happy.
I was reading an article about Dori on the Homestead. Org site and clicked on her webpage and fell in love with her goats. She is very much more into raising and caring for animals than I am along with all her other chores and hobbies. So I want to say thank you Dori for letting Matthew come live with Miss Diva and we promise lots of photos and lots of stories about his adventures here at Hidden Haven!

Peggy,
Glad to hear Ms.Diva is doing better, and I am sure she will like her new boyfriend! Blessings to you!
Hi,
Just wanted to give a friendly note of advice. Music on webpages (business or personal), is highly frowned upon. Mostly, because it can surprise/shock a person, especially when they can't get to their speakers or volume settings quickly. That's what happened to me, and I hear others say the same. I could actually feel my heart sieze. Hehe. :)
The second scenario is one someone finds your blog for the first time, and is in a "quiet only" setting. Possibly at work during break or lunch time, or when everyone in the house is asleep, or a small child is sleeping.
All of the above, often cause people to go away and not come back again. :(
Its good news Miss diva is getting better and unknown to her is getting a cutie all of her own. The ducks, are a real treat to look at.Have they found the pond yet?
You are acquiring quite a large petting zoo. The ducks should fun to watch Our Muscovy pair and now our 18 Pekin hatchlings are a source of great amusement.
The Nubian/Boar cross goat is a lovely duel purpose animal. The Boar is a sturdy meat variety although I don't suspect you have plans to eat anything you give a name. A word of caution. . . . mature billy goats are not so cute and can be dangerous!! And smelly!
First, I wanted to thank you so much for your comments and your prayers.
Now, those ducks are lovely, and I am sure will make a beautiful addition to your 'family'.
And what a wonderful gift for Miss Diva, I am sure she will be thrilled to have a boyfriend. :)
woo hoo, miss diva's gettin a boy toy! that oughta put a jump in her step ;)
Oh my gosh! They are the cutest new residents EVER! AWWWHHHH :) What a joy to get to see them every day!
I went to your "store" today. I am so excited for Christmas to roll around because your soaps will make excellent gifts!
