Laundry Soap

Now I have Lavender scented laundry detergent. Anyone want to come use my washtubs and do your laundry?
Another busy day at the homestead. Made 8 more pints of blueberry jam along with blueberry muffins. Made some broccoli cornbread and it is soooooo yummy! Moved everything off the front and back porch so it is ready for the guy to pressure wash the house and start painting. Have a HUGE pot of homestead stew cooking getting ready to can. Part of my Christmas presents this year will be home canned goods, homemade soap and laundry detergent, home baked breads, and homemade jams and jellies. So I have lots to do before the garden and fruits get taken by cold weather. Someone ask about blueberries still being in. I was surprised that a neighbor still had blueberries but her bushes are loaded to the ground with them. We had a late cold spell is all I can think of that made them late coming in. They are usually gone by middle of July here. Now I really must run as I have to feed the animals and gather the eggs...... Count those Blessings as God is in Heaven and all is right at the homestead.

brocolli cornbread. I love both so I bet I would love it a lot!! I bought some more blueberries today at the store. Every time I see them at the store I grab them up bring them home and at least get them into the freezer. I love them frozen on my cereal in the morning. Yummy!!

Hello my friend...you certainly are one busy little bee!
Always a joy to visit and catch up with your happenings.
The washing powder looks really good...I like looking at the packaging you have in the USA...so different from ours.
Hooroo for now...hugs, Kali xx

Your lavender laundry detergent looks fantastic and obviously smells wonderful. That whole post makes me so jealous, it sounds like the ideal life, but, of course, I know that is the upside, there must be plenty of days when life is harder, but let me dwell on this posting and dream, you have certainly made my day.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll stick to my front-loading one. There's things that my guys get into that I really don't want my hands scrubbing out!

What a great post! I'm making elderberry cordial at them moment and when the blackberries come blackberry jam. I've bought some fancy gingham lids for my jam jars so I can give the jam away as presents this year. I love making preserves from stuff in the wild (I'm a cheapskate !lol!). This is the first year I've grown blueberries - not even enough for a muffin so far!

I just came over here from plainandsimple's blog. A few weeks ago I started making my own laundry detergent as well. Looks like we're using the same recipe! I love it, though I haven't tried scenting it with essential oils. I love the idea, but am not sure if it would irritate our sensitivity to fragrance.

I love your tubs and ringer! I have a ringer on my Christmas wish list - it's been there for about three years. LOL. I love your laundry detergent - lavendar is such a pretty smell for laundry. Thanks for posting to my blog - it's nice to know there are other hand-laundry people out there. :)
