Busy Day

William made it home last night at midnight. We got up early this morning so we could milk, feed and take care of the animals before heading to Vass. We left home early but made the mistake of heading to the post office to mail soaps first. There was a community yardsale going on and we just had to stop. Almost every house in the development had a sale in their yard. I got a nice old wicker set for.... $15.00!!!!! I kid you not. Only $15.00! It will be going on the front porch as soon as we get finished painting. William got a set of golf clubs and nice golf bag for $5.00. We got a solid oak exterior door for $10.00 to use on the storage building we are building. We also got a beautiful oak door for the bathroom that will go up when we finish the remodeling in there. And it was only $10.00. We got some books, placemats, tablecloth, baking pans for $4.00. We left there and had to go to the post office and then come home to unload everything before we went to Vass. Well there was another yardsale on the way home. We had to stop! We got a barbie house, barbie car, barbie camper van, barbie furniture, 2 little girl pocketbooks, a going to grandma's suitcase and a polly pocket doll house. All for $10.00! These will be gifts for Christmas as we are doing second hand or homemade gifts again this year. These toys looked brand new! I also picked up 4 caroling dolls that a lady had made. They are beautiful! I will take pictures later and post. We finally left for Vass! We visited Linda at Cedar Breeze Farms. She has the most adorable Nubian does! They will soon be 7 months old. She also has 2 very handsome Nubian bucks. The bucks loved to be petted and so we petted them alot. The does were a little shy but William did get in a few pets. When we got home William went out to see Miss Diva and she is in love! She could smell the bucks on William and was rubbing on him, following everywhere! Since she was so in love with him we decided to trim her hoofs. Needless to say she fell outta love real quick! You think a diva would love a pedicure, but not her! Robyn I tried to tell her she needed nice hoofs to sign your card but she was having a attitude moment. After we finished her hoofs we came in and cleaned up and I fixed potato salad, corn , mac salad and garlic bread while William grilled steaks. We sat down to watch a football game while we ate and this is what happened to William. ( well imagine a photo of William laying on the sofa as blogger isn't letting me download)
And I cleaned up and sat down here at the computer. Time to take a shower and relax a little. Have a great weekend everyone and count those blessings!

Those were some great bargains. That's great that your family exchanges handmade or secondhand gifts. I've suggested this before to our family but they were horrified!
