Our animal family has grown today! Romeo and Juliet (peafowl) seem all settled in and happy in their new home.
The last photo was taken thru the diningroom door. Everytime I went out he either turned his back or closed his feathers.Aren't they a lovely pair? She should start laying eggs soon and I hope to have baby peafowl running around! But thats not the only addition to the family! Meet Bonnie and Clyde. They aren't the big geese that I plan on getting but I just had to bring them home with me. Everytime my friend Jane would walk by them they would hiss at her and try to bite her. Each time I walked by they just stood there. Here is the look Bonnie can give before she hisses
Can't you just see the better not mess with me look? But thats not all! We have 2 white female ducks to keep Sally company. Daffy and Donald wouldn't leave her alone so now they have Daisy and Donna to strut their stuff for.
Hopefully the girls will hop in the pool and clean up a little as they were very dirty and muddy when we got them. Our little homestead is growing! Now I just need to find a wife for Fred the turkey, but that will be another day and another adventure. We drove 2 hours to a little town called Sophia to pick up the new additions and then 2 hours back. The animals did great in their crates but sure were happy to get out and stretch their legs when we got home. I am looking forward to sitting on the deck and watching the peafowl each morning.

When I was teenager one of our neighbors had pea fowls and male made an interesting sound.
Pretty peafowl!! Love the names of all of your animals...if you find a mate for Fred you should name her Ethel...like on I Love Lucy ;)
Oh wow! We had a peacock when we lived on the farm....I sure miss it. :(
Oh wow!! They are all beautiful and I love the names!!
How much joy you must get out of your little homestead and all it's inhabitants.
The male peacock is a beauty! He will bring you joy and delight every day. You make me miss Paulo. the peacock! I only have a bouquet of feathers to remind me of him.
Good morning, ....I love looking at all of your family of animals. You could let us name some of your crew sometime.; like a contest , with the best name is the winner of a bar of goat milk soap. Baba
Wow, you really did add to your collection!!! The peacock will talk to you if you mimic their cries. I love to see them with their tails all fanned out.
