The screen door goes up tomorrow. This project will hopefully come to a end in a couple of days.

Another corner of the porch.

has a couple additions to her homestead. I think they like their new home alot! Joni has a awesome sight on her way to town and like a good blogger has her camera ready. Have you ever had or heard of a goober burger? Teri has and from the photos it looks really good.

We have been busy today. William helps with the feeding, watering and milking and then we make a quick run to haul off the garbage, mail some soaps, and pick up alfalfa for the goats. Back home we hook up the water and electric to the motorhome so I can start cleaning and fixing it up. We also go get the last of the huge logs from when we cut firewood. William will split them later. Another hot and humid day that we managed to get things done anyway. I am beginning to think a tropical storm would be nice. We put some eggs under Killer as she is wanting to sit on all the hens eggs again. Sister Sister is wanting to sit too so I gave her 5 eggs. Already have Betsy sitting on 6 so if they all hatch I should have plenty of chickens. Momma Kitty is starting to teach baby kitty how to protect herself. Its so fun to watch the two of them together. Baby kitty doesn't want to learn anything right now. She just wants to sleep and eat. She is so fat her belly drags the floor when she walks. Momma Kitty may be young but she is sure being a good mommy.

Love your wicker furniture Peggy - did you paint it to get that gorgeous color?

I cannot wait to see your door! Isn't it funny how doors can either close you off or invite you in?

I am honored to be added to your lists. I hope a lot of your friends come to visit me!

The guber burger (misspelled on my site!) was awesome. Shared one with Bob and that made it even better.

Always interested in unusual use of language, "goober burger" caught my eye. As kids around here we always referred to a "goober" as a great glob of flem we spit out after sniffing and clearing our throats. Disgusting on a burger! The only official meaning I can find of it is "peanut".http://www.thefreedictionary.com/goober Very southern speech. In the civil war a "goober grabber" was a Georgian trooper.http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocivwar/cwslang.htm
In your comments your friends cleared this up as a misspelling. It was really a "Guber Burger". What a relief! After this I still don't think I would order one.

Hope your day goes well as you are probably going to have HOT HOT weather just like here!! I am going in to start training at CURVES this afternoon..washing this morning..Blessings, Sandy
