Hubby has been home and we have been busy. We cut more firewood, made a climbing tower for the goats, put up a electric fence so the goats would have lots more room to roam, raked the goat pen and did the normal everyday chores. Also had to get laundry done so William would have clean clothes as he heads for Oregon. Seems when he is home we are so rushed to get lots of things done we are so tired and sore we can't even rest good. We put the goats inside the electric fenced pasture. Diva stayed about 2 minutes then got zapped hard by the fence before going under it. Nitro wouldn't go near it as he knew what would happen. Sammi stayed in for about 30 minutes before getting zapped as she went under. William fixed the spot where they were going under and they spent the day grazing and relaxing. The boys touched their noses to the fence and now they won't leave the pasture. I unhooked the fence to let the goats go back into their pen and all went in but the boys. They would walk up to where I had unhooked it but wouldn't come on out. I walked in and showed them and even tried to walk them out but they wouldn't budge! So guess they will spend the night in the pasture. They have food and water so will be fine. Diva and Sammi need a break from them anyway and I could use the extra milk to catch up on soap and cheese orders. Been working on soap orders for 3 days and still not caught up. I am also making goat lotions and goats milk candles for my etsy shop. Getting that done and trying to get everything done around here has me behind in blogging. I will be back with animal photos and stories tomorrow... I promise. Have a great night and count those blessings!!!

My goodness, Peggy, I don't think you have enough hours in the day to do everything that has to be done around there! I'd feel sorry for you except that I know how much you love it! lol xox

Sounds just like when my hubby comes home and it's total chaos here. He only gets to come home one week of every month and let me tell you...the dirty laundry he brings home is enough to keep me busy until he leaves out again. Toss some much needed home improvement things in the mix and you might as well forget any kind of "visitation" at all. LOL
Life sure does get to be too hectic at times but I guess it keeps us on our toes too.

I am SO excited to read about new upcoming lotions and candles!! I can hardly wait. I just know they are going to be awesome. I can't wait to try them. I'll be stalking your etsy shop and waiting-impatiently. heehee

Peggy, Isn't electric fence wonderful. It only takes a couple of pokes for the animals to respect the line.

When I had cattle I went out every morning and touched the fence. By the end of the season even I was reluctant to touch it. I am a slower learner than the cattle beasts.

I used to have a terrible time trying to get my 900 pound pet boar to cross the line of the fence when it was off. You cannot manhandle a pig the way you can a cow, as you probably know.

How special for your goats to have something to climb on. Better than jumping up on the hood of your car!

You need to somehow figure out how to get more hours in the day!! I hope that you can find those and get things done. it is getting closer and closer for our Blogging Babes Blast here in Savannah. I am so looking forward to having everyone come.

Those guys don't want any more electric shocks!! Poor babies!!

You are so busy. Makes me realize that I need to get up and get moving around here. Housework isn't going to get done on its own. Sigh. :)
