Been a busy day at the homestead. Catching up on laundry and I am still using my washtubs and wringer. It has been over a month now since I last used my washer and dryer. I am determined to not use the washer/dryer this winter. I mailed out some soap orders, made a batch of soap, covered our firewood with tarps so it will stay dry. I had to go to the dreaded walmart to purchase collars for Frosty Dan and Brown Robyn. They outgrew theirs and the pet shop is very expensive. I hate shopping there and talked to William on the phone the whole time complaining. All the animals seem to have settled down and had a good day. I hope to catch up on inside chores tonight so I can post about John Henry and Sweet Caroline's son John Jr. (pretty boy) and his antics..
Hopefully things will slow down soon and I can get back to posting the adventures around the homestead. Hope you are having a blessed week!

How dare life get in the way of blogging, eh? lol You truly are doing well using the washtubs and wringer...with the cost of electricity going up all the time, I think we should all start doing things like that!! I see you feel the same way I do about WalMart...last week I went in there, walked about two aisles and gave up, it was just too crazy in there for me. You take care of yourself Mz Peggy:-) xox

I just love reading of you washing - it reminds me of days spent at my Grandmas place! How will you dry the clothes in your cold winter? here in winter we can still hang clothes on the line but i know it snows where you are.

Great job sticking to doing the laundry in the washtub with the wringer. I have been searching for a decent wringer but can't find one. I too am not a WalMart fan.
