Happy Thanksgiving weekend to our Canadian neighbors! Fall has disappeared. We are having 90 degree temps again. The weatherman said we are 12 degrees above the average for this time of year. Where oh where are those cool sweater wearing days? I have been making candles and lotions most of the day, while finishing the laundry. Wanted to get out and rearrange and clean the soap shop but that will have to be on tomorrows to do list. Made a post office run and stopped to pick up a couple of items then back to the homestead. The animals are all behaving for the moment. I still haven't gotten Brown Robyn's collar on him. He freaks out if you try to touch him anywhere near his head. Unfortunately when putting a collar around his neck my arms are too close to his head for comfort and he bucks and runs. Frosty Dan has his collar on but is working hard at getting it off. We want to leash train them but I have a feeling its going to be a long training. Visited my neighbor Fran this afternoon. She turned 80 last month and right up till her birthday she was always on the go, never sitting down. Since her birthday she sits most of the time wanting others to do things for her. Her face has aged so much I feel like she is giving up. That she isn't excited about life anymore. I am going to try to visit her more and take her out more. Just have to figure out when. She is a sweet lady and I love her dearly. Everyone have a blessed weekend. Enjoy every minute!

I think its going to turn from summer straight into winter. You know how it is in NC, if you don't like the weather, stand still a minute and it'll change (usually) lately its been the same.... HOT!!!

Thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes, my friend:-) My boys aren't coming home but at least my mom & Ross can come over for Thanksgiving dinner on Monday...his son is giving his dinner on Sunday so it freed them to be able to come here on Monday! We've been having some above normal temps too over here but today it's raining and cool so it certainly feels more Fall like. By Monday, though, the temps are supposed to rise again...I think Mother Nature is a tad confused these days!! How sad about your neighbour Fran...it's so sad when they seem to give up on life and feel too old to do anything. Hope you can get Brown Robyn's collar on soon!! xoxo

I wish I could do something for your neighbor... how about a card shower?

I have the same hot temperature. Can't stand it in October!
