I joined a apron swap and received 2 beautiful handmade aprons from Coleen in PA. Coleen your package is on its way. Thank you so much and I love the aprons! I am sorry the photo isn't very good. I will try to get a better one tomorrow.

It has been a very upsetting 2 days around here. Ms. Fran won't be coming home for a few weeks. Her daughters have decided to have her stay in a nursing home and get physical therapy twice a day. She is walking but still a little unsure on her feet. I had offered to stay with her in her home since she lives right next door and help her along with home health care and therapy but they think she will be better in the nursing home. She does get to come home for Thanksgiving but has to be back before 5pm. Hopefully she won't get depressed from not getting to come home and will do so well she gets to come home early. I just feel so sad for her. She has 13 cards that arrived the last 2 days and I am going to read them to her on Thanksgiving and put them in her card scrapbook. Thank you all so much for sending them. She is so excited to have mail waiting on her. Terri posted this yummy recipe and I made it last night. It is so good that I had to force myself not to eat more than one slice as I am saving it for Thanksgiving. Give it a try! Perri posted a muffin recipe that I have in the oven right now. I can't wait to sample these too. Thanks Perri!

I am trying to get some baking and cooking done ahead for Thanksgiving. William will be home and Larry our new farm hand will be eating with us. William also invited Jerry (driver that found the kitten) to spend the weekend as he will be on the road Thanksgiving and not close to home. I am trying to have enough to fixed ahead so I can spend the weekend in the soap shop and do some decorating for the holidays. Guess I had better get back to the kitchen and yes its still a war zone. Wayne has promised he will be done with everything but the floor by Thanksgiving. I have my doubts.

I'm sorry to hear that about Ms. Fran but I guess it's her daughters' decision on what's best. Take heart on your kitchen renovations...they'll get done eventually. I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving...you are a blessing to so many of us Peggy!

Peggy,

The aprons are beautiful. I wish I had some of the aprons that Grandma wore. She had a large selection and one for every occasion.

The muffins look delicious. Thanks for linking to the recipes.

Tell Miz Fran that I wish her a Happy Thanksgiving all the way from Canada. I do hope she's received the card I sent to her by now.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Blessings,
Mary
