Merry Christmas from Bud

William has been working getting everything ready for our hayride/caroling. He is going to put lights on the trailer and fill it full of hay so we will be comfortable. I have been baking and making candy inbetween soap orders and visiting Fran. She has her feeding tube and IV out but still can't walk. The doctors still don't know whats wrong. She is talking alot more and she and I always sing old gospel hymns before I get her to sing Away in the Manger for me. I have never heard it sang like she sings it nor have I ever heard it sang more beautiful than she sings it. We still have so much to do before everyone arrives for our weekend Christmas. I have the stockings filled but still have presents to wrap. I have grocery shopping and cooking to do. A little more housecleaning and fresh sheets to put on the beds. The kids are sleeping in their sleeping bags on foam pallets in my soap shop. William (PopPop and me (grandma) are going to be sleeping on a nice camping bed out there with them so they won't be alone or get into any trouble. The grandkids are all excited. Woody had a wrestling match this weekend but told his mom he wasn't missing Christmas at grandmas for anything. Its the one time of year that all the grandkids can be together for a few days and have fun. I look forward to spending time with them and with the grown kids. I promise to take lots of pictures and share with everyone. So if I don't post the next couple of days its because I am rushing doing last minute things but will post during the weekend. Try to behave yourselves!

Hi Peggy,
I'll try to be good. Now what does good mean?lol
Oh, your gathering sounds like so much fun.:o) I can just see sweet memories being made.
The last yr. my Brother was alive I ask everyone to come here to spend the night so we all could be under one roof everyone but 1 wanted to do that.now its too late not many of us left. Thats part of the fun of going to Grandma's sleeping on pallets and playing with cousins .Sweet memories.:o)
Hope Ms. Fran gets to where she can walk and come home soon.
Hope ya'll have a great time this weekend.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Blessins', Lib

Merry Christmas, Bud. (Don't tell him, Peggy, but if I met him in person I would be so scared!!) I've always been afraid of animals, even chickens if they get too close!! I grew up on a small farm too!
Have a great time with your family. I can't wait to see the pics.
Hugs,
Hope

Awwww look at Bud, even he is getting into the Christmas spirit! hehe Gosh, sis, you sure have been busy getting ready for the weekend...I bet everything is going to go perfectly and I so would love to go on a hayride!!! Glad to hear that Ms. Fran is feeling good enough to sing:-) Would love to hear her sing Away in a Manger, one of my favourite songs. xox

P.S. The white sugar in the fudge part of the recipe is regular white sugar. In the icing it's the powdered sugar:-)

I'll try but I'm not promising! Just kidding! Your family is very blessed to have you making such careful preparations for their visit.
