It was a fun afternoon for everyone and I sold some of my soaps. After supper we received a call from a couple that was driving by and saw our sign. They wanted to purchase some eggs. Once they arrived and saw we had goats they and their two granddaughters spent time with the babies. I think Diva and Sammi were very happy the kids had so much fun as they slept really good last night! It was nice having visitors and the weekend ended with our selling 8 dozen eggs and lots of soap!
This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Hidden Haven Visitors
Sunday brought visitors to Hidden Haven and lots of fun and attention for the baby goats. Debra (who I met in the blog neighborhood) and her family came to visit Diva, Sammi and their babies. Of course since it was getting close to feeding and milking time we had help with the chores!

We had the most fun at your place. The kids loved the visit. Abbie, my oldest, is especially proud that she was able to milk a goat.
I wanna go visit you tooooooo!!! I've no doubt everyone had a fabulous time:-) Loved seeing pictures of my godkids! hehe I need to put their picture on my sidebar...I'm so proud of them, sis:-) xoxo

Wow, 8 dozen eggs! Your girls must lay well, & if they lay well, they must be very happy.
What a nice treat for those children to visit the babies, & see the goats.
Peggy, sounds like a fun time at the Homestead over the weekend. A very productive weekend too!! I'm sure you didn't mind all the help either!! :o)
Hugs,
Hope
Geez, I wish we lived close by. I want to pick up and snuggle with the babies and pet those hard-working mammas.
Imagine eggs fresh from the chicken too! A day on a homestead in good for the soul...*sigh*... perhaps one day...
Sound like a lovely afternoon all around.
I am glad to see William is home and not out on the road in the foul weather in the central and northern part of the US. That last bad storm missed us here. it passed beneath us through Southern Ontario.
what fun for all. I am so looking forward to breeding our new girls and having babies again.
Will wait until fall time though.
I want fresh eggs.. will they ship to ms.
Your little homestead is starting to remind me of the farm in the movie "Babe"! ;-)
I am so happy for you all.
Love and hugs and kisses
and Springtime wishes
