Sammi

Been so busy I forgot to post some photos of Sammi's kidding experience. I won't post the graphic ones like I did of Diva last year. Diva's last 2 kids were breach but her whole labor and delivery was so fast and easy compared to last years with Frosty Dan and Brown Robyn. Sammi on the other hand had a very long and rough labor. Her kids came out in right position and fairly easy but she was very very tired and weak from the labor. Both girls are doing really well now and so are their kids. Sammi doesn't have enough milk for all 4 of hers so has decided to abandon Gabby. We give her and Sweet Pea a bottle several times a day but also hold Sammi and let Gabby nurse just a little. Its sad to see Sammi push Gabby away when she comes near her mom. But have to realize its just instinct with her.

I get all teary eyed when I see my godKIDS:-) Oh no, poor Gabby...that would break my heart to see Sammi pushing her away but as you say, it's just instinct with her. I know you'll make sure that both girls stay as healthy as the boys. Last night I was talking to Steve on the phone and he was saying how he'd love to be able to drive me to your place...we then looked on MapQuest to see how far...well, it's quite a drive! lol That certainly would be a dream come true:-) Hope your weekend is going well sis. xoxo

I hate that for the little goat!! But as you said it is just instinct. We are driving back home now. We stopped tonight in Murfreesboro, Tenn and will have a nice long drive tomorrow. I am ready to get home..Sandy

Sometime things just don't seem right with nature.
I know you'll take good care of gabby and I'll say brief prayer for Sammi new ones.

Hi Peggy. Sometime, we have to let Nature take its course,But im sre they all look at you as there lovely Surragate mother, and Gabby will grow strong like her brothers and sister.

Hi Peggy. Remember me, your one-time chocolate swap buddy? LOL I haven't visited in awhile so I came to see what all the kids and grandkids are doing. Awwww, poor little Gabby, but she has you to help her along in life. She'll be even stronger for that. Take care! :)

The top of her back is so pretty. I had never noticed the tile-like pattern. SO glad everyone is doing well.

That is one thing I miss about the farm - Calving season, when our horses had their babies (I think that was the most exciting thing of all), the baby chicks, geese, piglets... Springtime!
