2 Old Goats and Some New Ones

My 2 favorite old goats! Cleaning up my picture files last night I found this photo. William and I had just gotten back from a memorial service for a homestead forum friend of ours. I wanted a picture of him dressed up as that is a rare occurrence at Hidden Haven. I think Nitro was actually jealous. Need to get another photo of William as the beard is gone and I gave him a haircut.

As for the new goats. My daughter Maggie and family gave me their Norwegian dwarf goats for my birthday. I am finally ready for them and they will arrive Monday. We already have a list of people ready to purchase when we start our breeding program. A neighbor of ours has a buck that we can use to breed the Mom and daughter. Mandy the mom has twin bucklings and Baby the daughter has one buckling. Since these goats stay very small people that hobby farm prefer having them instead of regular size. The same neighbor has 2 dwarf does that our young bucklings can breed when they are older. Guess I can say I am officially the old goat lady!

That baby goat is adorable! I love your goat photos. I see where you have been planting squash and all kinds of things in your garden. I'm jealous. So far we can only plant cold weather crops, but it won't be much longer!

Blessings

AHH! That baby goat is so cute! Seems like a solid little thing too. Looks like a little stuffed animal. Heck, I guess the adult goat behind it is pretty small too. I'd thought about educating myself about dwarf goats for the future, but I always forget to buy a book. Although goats have been on my mind lately - I think it's your influence!

Oh these are adorable. I cananot wait till we get our pygmys. I hope I can ask you lots of questions when we get them. Those ducks gotta go first. And hey, glad to know that I am not alone in thinking toilets and tubs make pretty planters.

Love your Two Favorite Old Goats pic. I am glad to see that with your recent loss of your Dear Friend Fran you still have your sense of humor. I enjoy visiting your blog and love the recent changes. I hope BossyToes is doing better at adjusting to being put outside. Wishing you a wonderful day!

My younger dau. had Nigerian Dwarves before she grew up and didn't want goats any longer, so I inherited them. I even bought a couple of really tiny bucks at one point, from Buttin' Heads Nigerians. They were just pets, but they were so sweet and went to live in MS. I miss little Mulder and Scully. Snif! We still have a half Nigerian/half LaMancha doe of older dau.'s who is almost the size of a big goat.
