After the service for Fran her family ask me to come over. They gave me the urn that held Fran's ashes before they were placed on her husbands grave. They also gave me a painting that was done of Fran in Korea in 1955. Her husband had it painted while he was stationed there. I was in tears over their kindness. Fran and I had talked about her letting us know she was watching over us. She said when I saw a hummingbird it would be her so the family picked a urn with a hummingbird. I now have Fran's urn, photo and painting sitting on a shelf in the livingroom. I know she is watching over me and feel very honored her family wanted me to have these things.

Oh sis, now I have tears in my eyes as well. What a truly wonderful gesture Fran's family did by giving you the urn and that beautiful painting of Fran. I trust that everything went well on Saturday...I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye around the place when you read your Eulogy to Fran. She is indeed watching over you...your own special angel:-) xoxo
The tribute vignette looks lovely.
What a lovely gift!!!!!
A lovely fitting gift, for a true & loving friend.
Oh how sweet, and the urn is just beautiful. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of hummingbirds this summer.
what a beautiful gift for you for your faithfulness to this dear friend of yours!
Wow!!! You know how to touch my heart. I am going to go on and read the other postings I am behind on as soon as get these tears wiped away enough to see. Miss Fran's family knew how good you were to her and how much she thought of you. Some times friends and neighbors give their love quicker than family..... You were such a friend and neighbor to Miss Fran.
I love the new spring look to your blog.
May God bless you in many ways.
The urn is beautiful , such a wonderful gift for a special angel on earth.
