Outside My Window... the garden is growing, the squirrels are playing tag and the goats are sunbathing.
I am thinking... of a project I have to complete by Friday
I am thankful for... the many blessing God has given me today
From the kitchen... the scent of stew cooking in the crockpot, cheese fresh made cheese draining in the sink and veggies waiting on the counter to be made into a nice salad.
I am wearing..... blue jeans and teeshirt
I am creating..... a dvd of photos for a mother to give her daughter that is graduating
I am going... to TSC to pick up feed and a new garden hose.
I am reading.... Billy by Albert French
I am hoping...William gets home today in time for supper
I am hearing...birds singing, roosters crowing, plane flying overhead
Around the house.... things are all straightened and tidy for a change
One of my favorite things... is watching the baby goats running and playing games only they understand.
A few plans for the rest of the week... finish the dvd, finish the catering project, finish making soap and cheese and work in the garden
Here is a picture thought I am sharing....
Love feeding the chickens and gathering eggs. What a wonderful simple life I live!

Nice post Peggy. I would love to have some chooks!- chickens to you!
Love the free range eggs, they taste so much better.
Simplicity is a blessing in disguise that most people don't get the chance to appreciate sometimes. I can't wait to get to this point. We are getting closer and closer with each passing day. The Lord will lead us there, this we know for sure:)
Blessings
Oh how I wish we had goats! We do have 6 chickens and 2 rabbits. We are loving watching them grow. You make your own cheese!!?? WOW, you are very talented. I have been reading on how to make my own soap. Have a blessed day. May I add you to my blog?
I'm so glad you did the Daybook!
It tickled my funny bone to think of the goats sunbathing....☺
Peggy, reading your blogs always make me smile but this one seemed extra special :)

That was a really neat post - thanks! Under the weather today and it picked me up a little. Really clever format - like a little snapshot of a day.
I know to you it seems simple but to me it seems exhausting!! Maybe I am just too old for that lifestyle anymore. i think we should all simplifiy...just wish that i could.

That picture makes you look like a Pied Piper of the homestead inhabitants!
I too used to love feeding the hens (we called them chooks [as in books]), but that was more than 50 years ago....lol.
A joyous life of simplicity, Peggy.
I enjoyed reading your Daybook! How fun to gather your own eggs!
