This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
Oh, Peggy - Everything there is just so beautiful. Heck, even the driveway. That zuke looks awesome - my favorite veg. I have two measly tomato plants here in the city, but they are doing well - 14 toms on 'em!
Your garden looks wonderful and the veggies ~ delish ~. No tomatoes for me yet , just starting to get small ones. I can't wait for that fresh mater sandwich. My cucumbers aren't growing , I may have to plant more in another spot. I do have squash coming full blast.
Sis, I sure wish I was walkin' down that driveway of yours and coming to see you:-) I so loved seeing more of your surroundings, so peaceful looking. Look at your garden veggies...mine are just starting to peek out of the ground! lol
Loved reading your previous post about Bud...what a life he's had so far and I always giggle when I think of him pouting! hehe Still hard to believe that he was found after being gone for 4 months, I know how you had pretty much given up home of ever seeing him again. xoxo
Oh gosh, I love Tractor Supply Store!! We don't have them here in Ca so when we go to IL I make dh take me, it just tickles him that I love it there so much!
Bud is a cutie! A year ago dh found a baby iggy at work and brought him home, he couldn't stay, we found him a loving home... So glad that Bud can't wander away from you anymore!
Oh Peggy, you out did me with your blog!! I LOVE it!!! Where did you find that background? I am not too savvy yet with this blog thing, hehe. Your garden looks fantastic. Our squash died, I think the bugs got to it. We picked one and that was all she could do. Love the music too!!!
Thanks for the directions to Hidden Haven. You just start cooking that Okra. JD and I will be right over for lunch. I'll bring my own mater and salt shaker... lol
I wish I could grow veggies like that! I love the patriotic look of your blog!! I read your profile and I swear we could be twins. I love the exact same books, authors, and movies. EVERY one. I also am a regular at Tractor supply. The one here had some really cool carved wood benches and some pretty fountains this year.
Boy we are really moving up in the world! Just dropped by to say hi!
OH...we had a little baby billy this week. I will snap a picture of him and post on my blog!
Oh, those fresh veggies sure do look good, Peggy. We have lots of little farm stores around here, and I just love popping in them - sometimes more for the culture than for the products. :)
I love your driveway... that was what I envisioned for ours. Alas, the concrete guy thought we wanted a runway. LOL. I'll let stuff grow back in over the years though. :)
Enjoy those maters! I'm anxiously awaiting my first red one. :)
This was a nice tour!! I posted about visiting a big vegetable garden yesterday! Today I filled my stomach with the things I got there and it was mighty good!
Loved reading about Bud in the previous post! I wondered how he was doing these days.
I envy you guys with gardens!! I would so love to have at least a small one but hubby keeps insisting we wait until after he gets the yard landscaped the way he wants it. I've been waiting now for over 10 years. Sigh. Count you blessings. Gardens are wonderful. :)
