Day Five Already?

Already to day 5 with the grands and I can't believe its going so fast. Today after morning chores we made a quick run to the grocery for fruit and s'more making supplies. The grands roasted hotdogs for lunch and made s'mores for dessert. They helped clean up the back porch and their rooms before hitting the swimming pool. After helping with afternoon feeding chores I took them to Gillis Farms for homemade ice cream in homemade waffle cones. While eating our ice cream we took a wagon ride pulled by two beautiful oxen. The downer to this wagon ride? Raigun asking me if this is how I got around before they had cars. LOL Home led the kids back to swimming and later we will have baked spaghetti for supper and spend the evening playing uno or scrabble.

To me it doesn't get any better than old fashion fun, in this high tech world.
Have fun:o)

It looks like a lot of fun, and incredibly exhausting too. Those kids will remember it though, that's the main thing. :)

Lucky grandchildren!!! Looks like you are showing them a grand time!!! Homemade ince cream? Yummeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Wish I could join in a boardgame as we used to do that all the time with our kids when they were still at home.

You know Peggy I know exactly how you feel. I have been asked many times questions like that!! They look at us as SO OLD!! Just think back..I am sure you did the same thing. Course I always loved my grandmother. I don;t think she had any age to me. I told her that i would sit on her lap when I was 100!! smile!! Continue having fun and answering questions.Oh the JOY of GRANDMA HOOD!! Sandy
