Blame It On The Moon

They say a full moon brings on all kinds of crazy things. We have had a beautiful full moon here and a couple of owls enjoy calling to each other makes it even more enjoyable. I could blame my bad cold on the moon but we all know who really gave it me. William came home with a very bad cold and I finally got him to take some cold medicine. Getting him to take any medicine is worse than trying to give a child a shot! He started feeling some better except for a bad cough and still getting tired easy. He decided he would take a load to Oregon for his company and we rushed around cleaning out his truck and repacking it with warm clothes, snow chains, etc. He left and but left his cold behind for me. I have felt terrible all day. I fed and milked this morning then came inside and rested for a while before going back out to water and rake pens. I came back in and rested before going to post office and pick up chicken feed. Came home and rested before mixing feeds and doing the afternoon feeding and milking. I came in to rest a few minutes before watering. I have had a bowl of soup, a hot shower and taken some cold medication. I am now going to lay on the sofa while dozing and watching TV till after Survivor then I will go to bed and hopefully sleep all night and feel better tomorrow. I have a ton of soap to bag and tag for Saturday. I am going to the craft fair even with my cold. I am really looking forward to my first craft fair and to meeting some new friends. Have a wonderful weekend, stay healthy and count your blessings. I will be back to goat stories and photos soon. The goats don't even want me sneezing on them so are being easy with me. That won't last long and they will be back to their wild adventures.

Hope you feel better soon, Peggy. Take some Sambucol! They sell it at CVS and it's a pure elderberry extract, a natural immune booster. It also tastes yuuuummmmy. I swear by it. We started taking it about 2 years ago and haven't had a cold or the flu since.

I guess a cold is the gift that keeps on giving. I hope you feel better soon. My hubby is in Illinois. I think the full moon explains my moodiness. Take care and get lots of rest:)

Glad William got off okay enough and with the things he will need/might need. Take care and sleep a lot - Sounds like the cold I had (have), and getting lots of rest really did knock the worst stuff out pretty quick. Can't wait to visit!!

Hi Peggy,
I hope you are feeling better.
You are right. A lot of stuff gets blamed on that full moon!
It was pretty though. When the boys were little, we would all walk in the moonlight through the woods. It is some great memories.
Have a good weekend. Get well soon.

Our full moon is most welcome - it lights the way to the porta-pottie, life is touch when you're building a house! I am also gearing up for my first craft show of the year - I can't wait. I was a little concerned about the owls - it is not a good omen according to Native American folklore - I try to think of them as wise and all knowing to keep me from being scared!

Oh, Miss Peggy, I hope you are feeling fine soon! It seems nothing can zap the strength out of you faster than a yucky old cold!! Rest as much as you can.

Hope you have a wonderful time at the craft fair.

(((HUGS))) here's a hankie. Drink lots of fluids. When I get a cold I fix hot lemonade and sip on it thru out the day.

Dear Peggy,
Have fun at the fair. I know you will be successful. Take care of your cold. I worked in the hospital for 19 years, and you always knew when it was a full moon by how the patients were acting. LOL
Take care of yourself and all your little critters.
Hugs,
Connie

Hi! I haven't been here in ages and you are ready for the first of the major holidays it seems. Wonderful! I look forward to more catching up. I still get a little weepy now and then. I miss my Dad and my uncle but they are in a much better place, a very Heavenly mansion with family. Thanks for the prayers! God Bless!

Peggy,

I do hope that you are feeling better soon. Be sure to get lots of rest and take lots of Vitamin C. Up to 3000 mg daily. You can't overdose on Vitamin C and it does help.

Blessings,
Mary
