Thank You Victory Baptist Church

for hosting such a fun and profitable craft fair! If I had known they were this much fun I would have taken part in fairs sooner! I got there a few minutes late but Diva and the girls had to have breakfast before I left and of course I had to milk. When I arrived I was greeted by Laurie and felt like I had known her forever. She did a awesome job of getting the craft fair together. I got to meet several ladies in person that are readers of the blog and fans of Ms. Diva and the girls. (Hi Ladies!) My table was in a perfect location and I sold out of some of my soaps, got special soap orders, did some trading and made lots of new friends. The soaps that I didn't think would sell alot were the ones I sold out of. The ones I thought would be the big sellers only sold a few so goes to show I don't know much. I was really surprised at how much I sold! I made a friend with the lady at the table behind me. (Hi Rae Ann) She is going to send me information about another craft fair next month. She and I did a little trading and made plans to do some more. Besides the craft fair there was a table of home baked goodies and there were hotdogs with all the trimmings. I stayed busy selling or talking that I didn't even get a hotdog and those are my favorite! I came home minus a lot of soaps and lotions but a nice chunk of change instead. I also came home with some Christmas gifts. The only bad thing was I had taken my camera but left the memory card at home. Hopefully someone will email some photos and I will share them. All in all I had a wonderful time even with my cold. I also think I have found a new church home. William and I have been looking for a small friendly church not far from home and this one has everything we have been looking for.
The goats did fine without me today though they were standing at the fence calling to me when I pulled in. No one had been out to talk to them all day or give them a treat. I fed them a little early so they are all settled down for the night. It is finally cool enough for a small fire in the stove. The rocking chair is waiting right beside the stove. The tea kettle is on and I am ready to settle in and enjoy the evening. Have a blessed weekend!

That craft fair sounds like it was just wonderful! I'm glad you had a good time and did well! I just love craft fairs ... I guess it's something about the nice environment and a bunch of like-minded people participating in an event. Glad the goats held up - they could learn to be a little more self-sufficient anyway, LOL!

Hi Peggy,
So Happy to hear the craft fair went so well. You will find what sells great at one, want sells as great at another. I don't know why that is but its always happened to me and others I know. Glad you were able to barter, I've found most crafters are happy to barter at shows.
Glad to hear you've found a home church!:o)
Enjoy the tea and the warmth of the stove. Its cool here too, 30s tomorrow night.
Hope you feel better!
Have a great wk.end!
Oh a friend saw the John Deere towels and ordered a couple for her Bro. for Christmas. :o)
Blessins', Lib

Peggy, I think that is wonderful. I have been thinking about taking my soap/lotions to a craft fair too. I sell it mostly at work. You have inspired me. I have been seriously thinking about getting a couple of girls for milking. I buy goat milk for now. We might have to take a road trip if you have a couple of girls available. We would love to have some of Divas and Nitros kids if possible. Thanks. Kelly

It is always so nice to be part of a craft fair......on my side of the fence it is so much fun to visit them and to buy up all the lovely country crafted items.

The church sounds like a lovely "home" to be part of.

enjoy your week dear friend.

Isn't it fun!!!

I have done very small ones but this year I did Red Oak II in Carthage Mo.
It was like yours.
I didn't sell much because I was not in a good location but that was my fault.
They know I am nervous playing in front of folks so they put me on the porch of a wonderful lady that lives there but I met lots of wonderful folks and had a blast.
I was there to intertain mostly and that is just what I did.

So much fun!
I did sell some soaps and a bundle of alpaca yarn but I didn't care about that.
I was having too much fun going around to different places and playing and meeting folks.

I am so happy for you and congratulations on the Church.
I am also looking for one like that.
We have one up the road from us that I tried once but the same folks are no longer there so I should give it another chance.

Hi Peggy,

I am so glad that you came and participated in the craft fair. The youth raised alot of money for their trip. I was so happy to meet you. Your table was great, beautifully decorated, and I loved the soaps and lotion. Thanks so much for my special gift. I was so happy to read that you felt so welcome, I hope that I will see you and your husband at church soon. That would be great.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Peggy,
My name is Regina, I was the one that was trying to get Garry (the pastor) to buy something for his wife Lisa. I think my favorite quote from him will be "She has her own money." I have yet to use your soap, it is sitting in my bathroom smelling just so wonderfully I don't want to use it. But I know where I can get more so I guess I better use it. I didn't make it back to buy any lotion but I will get some. Please come visit us, you never know what will happen at our church. Thank you again for coming and participation in the craft fair.

We all hope to see you again real soon. Oh I have some pictures from the fair that I will get to you as soon as I get them downloaded.

Thanks again,
Regina

Hi Peggy,
I was glad you came to the craft fair. I hope you had a good time. It looks like you made some new friends. Thanks for shopping at my table. I talk to David today. They are going to run more test tomorrow. Continue to pray for him. I will call before I come for eggs. I think Victory Baptist would be blessed to have you and William visit with them. See you soon, Annabel Pender

Peggy,

It sounds like you had a lot of fun at the craft fair, sold your merchandise, made some money and found a church. All good news. I do hope you will have pictures to share later.

I'm sure the goats missed you while you were gone. Animals love unconditionally. The boys and I miss the goats at the farm. Wish we were closer.

Take care, my friend and have a great week.

Blessings,
Mary
