For the several that have ask. The reason I have moved the goats to different pens is so they can have a safe quiet place to have their babies. They like staying together as a herd. Even sleeping all together in one stall instead of spreading out.
If I left them together and one had her baby, not meaning to the others could step or lay on the new kid. It could hurt or kill the little one. Its much easier to have a stall and pen for one or two pregnant goats away from the others. That way I can keep a better eye on them and can hear them with the baby monitor when I am inside. DiDi and Sonya do not like being apart from each other so they get to share a pen together.
Diva and Sammi have been sisters for several years and help take care of each others kids. They are sharing the maternity pen together. My only fear though they are all due on different days is they will decided to all kid at once.... now wouldn't that be a nightmare! LOL
On a different note. I wanted to thank all the Christmas Angels again for helping 2 children have a special Christmas. I received a email from the mom that she wanted me to share with each of you. She wanted you to know how much she appreciates each one of you and what a blessing you are to her family. Here is her email:
Thank you for all the gifts and money you sent to our family.Words can never express how much your thoughtfulness meant to us. We had told the kids early on that we wouldn't be able to do much this year. Christmas morning our son looked at us after opening all his gifts and said you guys said we weren't getting much, this has been the best Christmas ever. The kids loved everything. Thanks again, I hope God blesses you, the way you have us.

The goats all look so happy and healthy ! and Kuma looks like she's doing wonderfully !! I'm so glad. All the children and snowmen are adorable :)
I hope you're feeling much better now ! Have you gotten the paintings and teas yet ?
Hope you are feeling better, Peggy.... AND--I hope your babies don't all have 'kids' at the same time... Yipes!!!! Keep us posted on their progress.
Hugs,
Betsy
Peggy I am so sorry you are feeling bad. I can't believe that sick you would go to visit the in laws ( I loved seeing Harvey again!) and then come home to sit in the barn and rub your whiney goats backs! You are a very special goat mommy and I wish someone was there to feed you broth and rub vicks vapo rub into your shoulders. How funny that you take the time to split everyone up and then worry about them being happy. again..you are the best goat mommy.
I love to watch herd animals. The develop interesting relationship among themselves. Sometimes they surprise us with soemthing unexpected and out of character.
