3 More To Go

Diva and the twins are doing fine. Each time I start milking Diva Leo will come running to nurse. Doesn't matter if he just finished or if he is sound asleep. As soon as he hears the milk hit the bucket he comes running. Guess he is afraid I will take all his milk. I am also back on butt patrol. Goat moms keep their babies clean by licking them including their bottoms. Last year BossyToes would cry loudly till I came cleaned her kids bottom. And I did it several times a day till the sticky baby poop became normal. Diva must have took notes because she will not clean the twins bottoms. I go out and they have the yellow sticky poop all over their backside and down their legs. I use warm water and a washcloth to clean them. Then Diva will inspect to see if I did a good job and give them a few extra clean licks. I was cleaning bottoms at 3:30 this morning! I am so looking forward to sleeping all night without getting up several times. I make the rounds to make sure none of the goats have gone into labor and everyone is alright. Sammi, Sonya and DiDi are the ones left to kid this month. Hopefully they will have a fast, easy delivery very soon and we all can get some sleep. That is if I'm not on butt patrol!
Got any guesses on who will go first? Dates?,Times? How many? Sex? I just might round up something special for the one that gets the most right.

Oh, I think Sammi is coming in early! Poor Sammi! I think she's considering Thursday the 12th in the evening. Sonya and Didi told me they would give you a break, and try to hang on until next next weekend. We'll see if they're plans work out!

So Grandmaw is on Butt-cleaning patrol??? Hmmm---sounds like a real baby. My good friend's daughter just had twins (6th) and Mimi is definitely on butt-cleaning patrol!!!

Here are my predictions:
Sammi --13th, 3 p.m. 3 babes--1 male and 2 females
Sonya --15th, 1 a.m. 2 babies--2 females
Didi--18th, 11 p.m. 2 babies--1 male and 1 female.

Good Luck!!!

Didi, Sammi, then Sonya - just a wild guess on my part! Butt patrol just doesn't sound like much fun - Ditto cat won't clean his and Kaboodle cat does it for him!

Those goats are very clever, getting you to do the 'dirty work'!
I think Sammi might be first to deliver, but I dont know about the other two. They all look to be about ready!
I just love seeing those little kids faces.

Hi, both my husband and I are here and we think that Sammi will go first with twins (boy and girl) very soon, looks like she is already partly dialated. So probably the 14th about 1:30 in the morning. Then Didi on the 21st of Jan just one a girl. About 2 in the afternoon. Sonya will follow on the same day as Didi with only one a boy at 7pm.I hope we are close. Good luck with the births.

Peggy,
thank you for stopping by my blog and giving your 2 cents:) I have thought about adding beet pulp for the goats because I know it helps keep weight on them. I think I have found a good all stock for everyone, though still deciding on what I will do to increase feed for the Nigerians when they kid...well at least I am assuming they are going to kid!! Yours are definitely going to kid!! I love your blue plaid background!!!! Demin blue is my favorite color!!!

Sammi will go first which she's due on my Great Uncle's birthday which he's been gone for almost 3 years now then Didi ( my niece's nick name and spelled that way too ) then Sonya!

twins for Sammi and on the 14th at 3:30AM same for Sonya and 1 of each for both and maybe the 18th for Didi at 4AM with twins, one of each.

Well...if I were a goat, and knew that I had to lick baby poop to keep my babies healthy I would do it, even THOUGH IT TAKES TERRIBLE! BUT....if I knew MOM would do it FOR ME....well, I would let Mom.

You are a good goat Grandma! And the little sweaters are just to wonderful!

Peggy,

I don't think that Sammi is going to wait until the 15th. I'm thinking in the next 24 hours or so. That would be Tuesday night by, let's say, midnight. Not sure about the others, they may go over their due dates. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the newborn kids and praying for fast and safe deliveries.

Blessings,
Mary
