But they are not Sonya's. Sammi gave birth to 3 doelings. Yes, she had 3 GIRLS!!! I am not sure what time the first one was born as I went out to check on all the pregnant girls at 4:10am and found Sammi already had a baby. I grabbed the diaper bag with all the blankets and sweaters so I could dry the little one off. I had just started drying her when out came another one. I hurried to dry the first one good then grabbed the next one and cleaning out its mouth and airway as Sammi had another one! Sammi had a very easy unassisted delivery. All I had to do was help dry off and dip their belly button cords. I did give the first one a bottle of Sammi's milk to help it warm up faster. Earlier in the night I had to move Sammi from the maternity pen. Each time I came out to check she was standing by the fence crying. I would walk her back in the building and she would lay down. I would go check on the other girls and come back and she would be out by the fence crying. Took me 3 different times making my rounds to see that Diva was not letting Sammi stay in the maternity building. She would chase her out. I took Sammi down to the milking stall closed the gate so the other goats couldn't get to her. Gave her some fresh water and hay and left her to rest. I checked on her 2 hours later and knew she would kid soon. Her babies had dropped and her udder looked like it would pop if I touched it. The next 2 hour check should have been at 3am. I overslept and when I ran out at 4:10 Sammi had started without me.
