This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
Thanks for the great photo's & captions ! I also wanted to say how much I love your new header photo ... sooooo cute ;) Lynda, Kilimanjaro, East Africa
The kids are growing so fast! I hope they all are doing well. I know how it is to have it all to yourself too. I have it 3 days a week where I am the only farmer on duty. I can't imagine it any longer. take care and have a great weekend. Pam
PEGGY, Wat darling pictures of the goats. especially the shamrock hat. You make me feel bad...I should take more pictures of my goats. Hopefull we are going to market soon, we have two Billys, need to sell one and about 8 withers that need to go. Counting my blessings.
Our cows do the same thing, although we don't milk, but every day they take turns babysitting the baby calves. Every once in awhile one of the mom's doesn't want to take her turn. She will gradually get up start munching hay and wandering futher and futher away.
Suddenly one of the other moms will break away from her munching and come butt the errant babysitter until she goes back to her 'job'.
It truly is like a day care isn't it! hehe Love it! I could sit there all day watching them...I guess I wouldn't make you a good helper if I did that! lol Love you sis. xoxo
