Bathtime Is So Much Fun

Today was bathtime for all the dogs. Lady, Tramp, Sheba and Kuma got theirs. I was so tired by the time I finished Rowdy won't get his till tomorrow. None of them liked their baths but at least Kuma stood still. She wouldn't give me a smile but she at least stayed in the tub till we finished. All of the dogs are shedding their winter coats and were looking a little ragged. I got most of Kuma's brushed out except for some left on her hind legs. Poor Lady and Sheba still have tons of winter fur we need to get off them. After their baths they all took naps in the sunshine. I sure wanted to join them!

My Aunt Judy emailed me about the icebox pie recipe. She remembers my mother making it and using lime jello. She shared some really funny and wonderful memories with me. She also gave me a low fat recipe for the pie that I will share tomorrow. Several ask what size box of jello. Its the small size and you can use whatever flavor you want.

You've got a cute dog but you neglected to do my three dawgs!! HA HA :o) They all get that deer-in-the-headlights look when being bathed, have you noticed that?

I asked my husband to move my laundry room to another room in the carport awhile back. Then he built a special dog washing area where the old laundry room was so I don't have to bend over anymore. Has a nice tub, sprayer, lights, cabinets, etc. It made the task a whole lot nicer for all concerned.

Have a great evening! :o)

I get tired and sweaty leaning over the tub washing my one little dog, I can only imagine washing four big dogs in a day. Taffy looks pitiful just like Kuma does when she's in the tub. But feels oh so good afterwards. Cute pictures.

Peggy,

Bathing Meeko was a big job. I know you must be exhausted from bathing all those canines. Dakota isn't a problem because he is tiny yet, but he doesn't stay still. He isn't a love of rain or his bath.

I don't think I would appreciate the gifts that your kitty brings home. lol That would be scary.

The pie in the post below sounds delicious. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Blessings,
Mary

Our dogs dont really like their baths either, but they do suffer in silence, & later, they seem so pleased with themselves, when we tell them how nice they look.

I feel so guilty because our big dogs haven't had a bath in a long time. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Peggy, I'm sure your doggies do feel better after a nice bath... Love the idea of drying off in the sunshine--and taking a nap. (My idea of fun!!!)

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi sis:-)

I'm finally here to catch up on your latest news! I love reading your posts about what's going on around the homestead:-)

I remember well how hard it is to wash a dog when they won't stay still...glad Kuma cooperated with you! lol

Would you believe we had snow yesterday? I was completely disgusted when I woke up and looked out the window. Today it's still cold and raining...good thing I haven't planted my annuals yet or the veggie garden, otherwise they'd be frozen solid. Not a very good start to June 1st! Ugh! Love you!!! xoxox

Hi there, Peggy!

I cannot even imagine trying to bathe the boxers. It would be quite the chore.

I bet you really were worn out!
