Where Is Fall?

Okay Mother Nature. We have enjoyed your beautiful summer including the heat and humidity. How about you let us enjoy your beautiful fall. The cooler weather. The beautiful colors. The fall smells. I am so ready and I will be so appreciative if you could see your way into sending it on this way. I have even started getting out some of the fall decorations in honor of your fall season.
I know I don't have many decorations out but you have to understand we are preparing for Hurricane Hanna right now. I will get all the other decorations out afterwards and there are lots, I promise. I won't even complain about all the storms that have popped up all of a sudden in the Atlantic. I will do my best to get through the hurricane if you promise fall will be waiting on the other side. That's not too much to ask. Is it Mother Nature?

They are Almost Here!!

My daughter Melody, son in law Joseph and grands; Woody, Hope, Zack, Julie, and Justin decided to drive down tonight (6hr drive) so the kids would sleep on the way down and they could be here to help with morning chores. I am excited. They should be here around 1am. I have a breakfast casserole sitting in the fridge to pop in the oven in the morning. Will make some biscuits and gravy to go with it after chores . Think everyone will be hungry by then. We have lots of things planned but also time to just relax and enjoy catching up.

Ms. Fran got 2 more cards today. She is walking to the mailbox each day now. She was letting her son in law pick up the mail on his way home. That wasn't like her as she always took her daily walk by going to get the mail. Thanks to all your cards she is back to taking her daily walk!

I got more of the fall decorations up today. Did a few things around the soap shop and back porch. Will post more photos in the morning. Everyone have a wonderful weekend and count those blessings!

I spent the weekend cleaning house and getting out some of my fall decorations. Enjoyed a nice quiet Sunday so much that I stayed in my PJ's all day. None of the animals seemed to mind as long as they got their food. Today was spent cleaning out their pens and raking some leaves. Moved all my feed storage containers into my new feed room! Nice to have everything out of the weather. For the give away winners, your package will be in the mail tomorrow morning. For all the others that entered stay tuned as I will be drawing names every few days for a lotion, candle or soap. Overlook the soaps, and stuff in my photos. I was cleaning as I was decorating so had things sitting on the buffet to put away.
