I Am So Blessed!

Woke up this morning to my email full of birthday wishes and beautiful ecards. Facebook friends, Blog friends and neighbors are giving me beautiful birthday messages along with phone calls from family and friends. How can anyone be more blessed than being surrounded by the love and friendship of such wonderful people! Each birthday wish, card, message, and call is very special to me and is making this birthday a very blessed and happy one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may your day be as blessed as mine.

My birthday also brings a little sadness but lots of wonderful memories of my neighbor and wonderful friend Ms. Fran. She passed away on my birthday 2 years ago. Love and miss you Ms. Fran and so glad you are watching over.

Happy Belated Birthday Kristine

I did call on her birthday but have been so busy I didn't blog about it. My very first grandchild turned 15 on the 18th! She is getting her learners permit so the roads of Tennessee may be a little crazy for a while. I cannot believe she has grown up so fast. I kept asking Maggie to have me a grandbaby and she kept telling me her dogs were my grandpups. When she became pregnant I was so excited! When she called to tell me the doctor said she was going to have a boy and the due date was the end of March I told her I had a dream and she had a baby girl on the 18th of March. Guess grandma's know more than doctors sometime. Anyway, Kristine or Teenie as we love to call her, I hope your birthday was as special as you are to all of us. I love you and am so proud of the young lady you have became. Look forward to our annual summer week with all you grands. Try to be nice to your little sister and also try not to roll your eyes too much at your mom and dad. You know you love us no matter how embarrassing we are. LOL

Kuma's Birthday

Even though we have been busy around the homestead we're never too busy for birthdays. Kuma celebrated her birthday on April 17th. She had a small party with all the Hidden Haven critters getting treats. Kuma made sure the goats and rabbits got carrots. The geese and ducks got lettuce while the chickens got their favorite.. cabbage pinata! Kuma enjoyed a nice can of Ol Roy beef and gravy. Didn't take her but just a minute to clean her plate and move on to her present. Rawhide pigs ears are her absolute favorite thing so she got a bag of them. Kuma is such a sport and let me dress her up special for her big day. She also sends a big wet kiss to her family in Germany and says thank you for letting us know her birthdate.

Happy Birthday DiDi

EDITED to say I was a couple days late celebrating DiDi's birthday. I got information on DiDi and Sonya a few minutes ago. DiDi was rescued by a friend of the lady we purchased her from. DiDi and Sonya were in very bad shape. The friend and the lady we purchased them from nursed them back to health before we purchased them. I just found out DiDi and Sonya's history! DiDi's birthday is March 30 but I don't think she minded staying younger a few extra days. I am excited to have more history on DiDi and Sonya.

The lady we purchased DiDi from found her tied up in her yard one day. Doesn't know who left her or why but she gave DiDi a good home till she came here. Since no one knows DiDi's real birthday I gave her April 1st. She loves to play tricks on you and then make nice by giving lots of kisses.

What a Nice Surprise!

Today William and I were busy doing outside chores when a van drove up. I thought it might be someone coming for soaps or eggs but it was a delivery van from a local florist shop. I got a absolutely beautiful flower arrangement from Kuma's parents! Debi, they smell heavenly and are so beautiful! Thank you both so much. I already thanked Kuma and gave her a squeaky toy after her walk. She promised me she didn't tell anyone about my birthday. LOL
But that wasn't my only surprise. Carole from Pea's Corner Blog (my adopted sister) sent me a birthday package. Inside the beautiful wrapped box was carved girls that can be joined together at their hands. They are called Sisters by Heart. They are so delicate and lovely. Carole thank you so much! I also loved the card Sis. My birthday is tomorrow and I was going to let it sneak by but you and Debi have started it off with a bang! I am so blessed to have such special friends that the surprises today were just icing on the cake. Life may get stressful but friends and family seem to know just how and when to put a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
