This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Did you ever hear the story
Why the robin's breast is red
It happened oh so long ago
On Christmas Eve tis said
With his wing he fanned the tiny light
To keep the infant warm
In that stable scene in Bethlehem
The night that Christ was born
He got so close to that little flame
In his eagerness tis said
He scorched his breast and ever since
The robin's breast is red

Our red robin (the european one) looks different. Anyway Peggy I wanna thank you for your christmas card with hankie. Yours is the first that has arrived! I'm feeling bad because I've just started to send mine out this week.
Beautiful
I get so sentimental at Christmas
and miss my son so much my heart aches!
Asia is so far away!
He will be in Thailand for Christmas!
I treasure everything you post!
