Poinsettias

We hail you, lovely Christmas flower,

With scarlet petals bright;

How graciously you bear your name:

"The Flower of Holy Night!"

Your beauty takes the breath away!

In fields of brilliant blooms;

In gaily planted garden plots;

In quiet living rooms.

But most of all in every church,

With chancel all aglow,

You thrill the hearts of worshippers,

And wondrous beauty show.

You symbolize for all of us

The hopes of Christmas Day:

You decorate our gifts of love,

And brighten all our way.

Repeat the message that we need,

Dear Flower of Holy Night;

Remind us of the savior's love,

And keep us in His light.
