DSL is UP and RUNNING!!!!

I am one happy camper today!! Took about 30 minutes over the phone with someone that had a hard to understand accent but DSL is back!!!! Never knew how much I took it for granted till I was stuck with dial-up. Now I can read other blogs without waiting 5 minutes or getting disconnected. Sure have missed everyone's blogs.

On a different note... When I met my daughter half way so she could pick up the grandchildren she was telling me how bad it was raining back her way. We talked for a few minutes and I left. She only got about an hour back her way when it started raining hard and her wiper stuck. She pulled over to fix it and when she pulled back onto the interstate a semi changed lanes and hit her. Totaled her vehicle but she and the children are fine. She called 911 on her cell twice and it still took 2 hours before the highway patrol arrived. Seems they only had 2 in that area. The semi driver didn't even come over to see if she and the children were okay. She talked with me and Joseph on the phone till someone got there and Joseph drove 3 hours to pick them up. He went back the next day to tow the vehicle home. She was so calm talking to me on the phone I thought she was joking and fussed at her. After it was all over she broke down but is doing fine now though all are a little sore. Allstate insurance has been wonderful with her and breezed through the paperwork for her. We thank God so much for protecting them and keeping them from harm. The kids are back in school and already planning a trip back here in the summer and want their cousins to join them for a week of fun. I told William he would have to take a week off and help with the 9 grandkids cause I'm not as young as I use to be! I am glad they had fun, especially Woody as he doesn't go outside very much. Thinks he is getting to old to play so stays in his room reading, playing games or doing homework. He only played his x book a couple times while here and was outside most of the time. He said he loved it cause our land is flat. (he lives on the side of a mountain.) Anyway Melody and the kids are fine, DSL is up and running, the sun is shining after our major windstorm, its spring weather again, the birds are singing and I have lots to do. Have a great day and count your blessings!!

I'm so sorry about your daughter's accident. The Lord was definitely watching over them. Can you breathe yet? I'm sure that after the stress of having your g'kids there, this was the icing on the cake.

Take care. But I'm so thankful.

That would have been a terrible shock for you, Peggy - worse for your daughter and kids...We get truck drivers like that over here - they think they are God on the road and if somebody gets in their way accidentally or otherwise, it is their fault, and no truckie is gonna apologise...Real nice guys, NOT.

Thank God your family is ok Peggy! I can't imagine something like that happening. The Angels definitely had their arms around them. Hugs, Sher

Have only just read your posting. I'm so glad your daughter and grandchildren are all safe and well, even if their vehicle isn't. Vehicles can be replaced but family, never.

I just love having cable internet connection, makes me wonder how I managed with dial-up for so long.

Praise God for keeping your daughter and her children safe. Oh how dangerous it is out on those highways sometimes. How relieved you all must be. Its good to hear that the insurance co. came through in a timely fashion instead of giving stress as some do. whoops, I hear thunder, I'd better get offline. hugs to you!
