Nice hot slice of sourdough bread with honey butter... Yummy yummy. I even had to have a second slice with blackberry jam. I just love baking bread. Am going to bake honey whole wheat one day soon and try a cookie recipe of Maggie's. It was 25 degrees last night and only 35 right now so I am enjoying the fire and my nice cup of golden vanilla hazelnut latte tea. The sun is shining and the birds are giving me entertainment at the feeders. Enjoy a favorite meal, enjoy a new recipe, enjoy your weather, and enjoy a nice cuppa tea! Here is my bible verse and thought for the day:
Then he said unto the man,Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other. Matthew 12:13
Mine is the doing when He says the word, but His is the bringing to pass. And that, you see, is the end of all worrying and planning and doubt. There is no rest nor comfort outside of that conclusion.

That bread looks great! I'll have some with the blackberry jam please!
Great post!
Peggy, as I was reading your post, I could taste the bread and feel the warmth of the fire. It all sounds just heavenly.
Oh yummy, there is nothing like fresh bread straight out of the oven. I wanna come to your place after you've baked a loaf or two. It must be great living in your house!
looks like we both were baking today!!
You have such a wonderful site. The bread looks and sounds wonderful! I love baking too. If you want, I can send you a recipe for foccacia bread. It's an Italian flat bread.
Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
The bread looks so yummy. I love the pictures of strangers on your wall. That is so sweet to give them a home.
How comforting...it all sounds so cosy and welcoming. Thanks for sharing.
I added your blog to my yahoo page after it came up when I was searching for cheesemaking. I was just about to delete it, when I realized that you are living the life that I want to live. I've had my periods of sheep-raising and such, but now am working 40 hours per week in my little cubicle and punching numbers into a computer. YUK.
I have always said that I want to be Olivia Walton.
Congratulations on your life.
You go girl!!
