Rainy Day Blues

Everything I had planned to do today were outside things. This morning the rain came and I am inside. I wanted to do laundry and hang everything on the line instead I used the dryer. ( I hate using the dryer) I have about 100 leek plants waiting to be set out and when the rain slacks a little I will go ahead and set out a few. I am rearranging things in the guestroom as that is where I will be putting the baby chicks when they get here. No they aren't sleeping in the beds! *grin* I am keeping them in 2 big boxes with heat lights and feeders, waterers, etc. So they won't be roaming free around the room. Anyways I almost have the room ready for them. I have cleaned the sitting room, the kitchen and swept the floors. So instead of being disappointed it rained I should feel blessed that the rain allowed me to do the things I needed to do inside. We are suppose to have a few days of warm weather after the rain leaves so I will be able to work on my outside things. I need to be thankful for each day and what it brings instead of complaining when it doesn't go along with my plans. I am sharing a photo of some old grinders that William and I have collected. These are only very few of all we have. When we redo the kitchen I am having shelves just for them on one wall. Enjoy your day, Enjoy your to do list, enjoy your home, enjoy the weather and most of all enjoy your blessings! I am taking a few days away from the computer to spend with my hubby and will be back Monday with photos of my baby chicks. Have a wonderful week and weekend.

Is it well with thee? 2 Kings 4:26

One mischief with Christians is that when we sit down to think of these matters, they are not personal. I am apt to ask whether people act as though they thought religion the most important matter in life, instead of asking whether I have this day lived as though I thought religion the most important matter with which I had to do.

Thanks for that bit of appreciative insite. I needed to remember to enjoy the process or journey when I am busy like this. I love the grinders.

We can make our plans, but God has other things in mind sometimes. We just need to be content with what He surprises us with. Will miss you while you take a few days off but have fun!

Enjoy your time off! Love the grinders. I'm glad you found a blessing from being inside when your plans got changed. That is a good attitude to have.

I shall go ponder this quote, as it has left a mark in head, to which I shall investigate further. Enjoy your time with your husband as life is ever mysterious and only God knows what is around the corner. xx

Oh, baby chicks sound like so much fun! Don't we all have special memories of a fuzzy chick somewhere in our childhood!

I for one can't wait to see your new baby chicks - awww, they're gonna be so darn cute!

It is too easy to take things for granted isn't it? I'm a grumble bum so much of the time, it's just ridiculous really because I have so little to complain about. I'll make a conscious effort with you to be more appreciative of all the wonderful blessings in my life!

An inspiring post!

Hi Peggy, I haven't visited for a little while, but am enjoying catching up on all your news! I love the occasional rainy day to catch up on all those indoor things that have been left undone while I play in the sunshine.
Dying to see photos of the chickens. One of my friends works on a poultry farm and her job is to crate day old chicks ready for their next growth stage. She has been doing it for years and doesn't think there is anything cute about 10,000 chicks cheeping all at once!!!!

Me again...I haven't stitched any of the kits you sent me, but I am working on a little gift for you, so pleased don't think I am an ungrateful hussy! It's just that I have been working on a 25th wedding anniversary X/S for a friend which has to be finished mid March, so I am concentrating mostly on that right now.
