Signs of Spring Around the Homestead

Here are a few photos showing spring has arrived here at the homestead so I must really get busy. I won't have a lot of free time so won't be posting everyday, but will try to post every other day. For my friends downunder what are your signs of fall arriving? I envy you the warm cozy fires, the flannel sheets and all the nice hot soups and stews. I will be enjoying the hot sunny days with cotton sheets, lots of salads, ice teas, and all the wonderful bounties from our gardens! Take care and I will keep up with everyone's blog when I post. I will also check my email every night so email if you need me.

Lovely Mrs. Peggy. I'm sure no matter where your family looks around your little nest, they see signs of your handiwork. They are indeed lucky to have you making their world beautiful.

I don't have a garden, but I do have a few crocuses that made a brief appearance. :)
Its fun to watch the flowers grow and the buds come out on the trees. :)
I love taking the girls out for walks as well.

Autumn (Fall to you!) is well on the way in Melbourne. With a vengeance in fact - we had our first snowfalls in Victoria today - unheard of in early April! Only two weeks ago we were still sweltering in near-100 deg.F heat...But the good thing is that we are having some good steady rain. Now I can start buying and planting in our new back yard - it was too hot before, but now the ground is cooling, and it is moist instead of baked dry.
