This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Visitor For Hidden Haven
Tomorrow I am meeting my daughter Maggie and picking up my granddaughter Raigun. Raigun will be visiting for 2 weeks and helping out around the homestead. Her big sister Kristine has plans for 2 weeks so Raigun felt she should have plans too. She and I always end up in adventures and even trouble with her mom sometimes. Raigun has a habit of telling her parents when she gets in trouble she will just pack her bag and go live with grandma. I had to promise this time to make her behave and punish her if she isn't. I didn't say what I thought was bad behavior though! She doesn't misbehave often when she is here. She is too busy. We have plans to go bike riding, on walks, go swimming, go to park on a picnic and of course she is going to help take care of Miss Diva and the other animals. She is very much a tomboy and loves being outside. She loves all animals so have to make sure she doesn't pick up spiders or wild animals! Raigun is 5 and old enough to be a big help to grandma. PopPop will be home for a few days next week and hopes to take Raigun out in the canoe fishing. I think we will help her with her "plans" while big sister is busy with hers. Maggie, Brannon and Kristine will come down in 2 weeks for a couple of days to celebrate the 4th of July and we hope to go to the beach one day. Summer is here and I will be seeing alot of the grandkids this summer! I will enjoy everyone of them when they visit.

Oh how fun! Enjoy your time with the little one!
Peggy, guess it was worth saying twice! hehe.
You have a 5 year old too. Our youngest one is 5 and he is a little boy. They would get along well. He is all boy and loves being outside. I have one of my oldest granddaughters coming tomorrow from Illinois. She is staying 3 weeks with us. She is 14. We are going to be doing the same thing only I am going to be in a different age range..completely. Have fun grandma!! smile!!
oh Peggy, she is so sweet - such a serious little gal! Have fun with her - my best memories are those spent having adventures with my a nana.
aww, your such a good granny..
can I come for two weeks too?
This post made my heart skip a beat...Raigun reminds me of myself when I was little...I always had a special connection with my gran, and loved spending time with her. I loved her dearly...We always spent time together out in the garden for hours and I loved listening to her stories.
What a really special time you and the little one will be having...and creating beautiful memories to cherish.
God Bless :)
Have a great time. You are making such great memories with all of your grandkids. They are so blessed.
How blessed you all are to be making such great memories.I hope you have the best time together and you make really good 'plans'!
Peggy you are a little like me the combination of grandchildren and country just feels right! lol lol enjoy your holidays and time with them all.
"happy summer holidays to you and yours!"
Aw, she's sweet, my oldest granddaughter is 5.
I am sure you are going to have an awesome time with her. MY 5 year old granddaughter LOVES bugs, is always picking them up. I had picked up one of those little bug catcher things at the dollar store and she was thrilled.
I miss all my grandbabies, hopefully I will get to see them all soon.
She is adorable. Kids are so special.
