Dining Room

I am climbing over or crawling around everything that was in the dining room but now all over the house. The house is a dusty mess and I can't do anything while the remodeling is going on. There are 3 and a half walls with bead board paneling right now. The walls should be finished tomorrow and then the paint goes on and the trim work. After that the hardwood flooring goes down and the ceiling goes up and I get to hang my border and clean up the mess. I so dread the kitchen! If a dining room with a few pieces of furniture can make such a mess and stress what in the world will the kitchen redo create? The bathroom, hallway and one bedroom are finished and the rest of the house still to go. I may survive or I may just move away and come back in a few years!

Here is the border I purchased. I have been collecting roosters and chickens for several years but have stopped as I have so many. I am only going to put a few of them back in the dining room but this border will make them all stand out. These are the curtains for the double window. I am not putting any curtains on the french door. Bud's cage is in front of the big glass window and the door is right beside it. I still haven't picked out the light fixture yet because I keep changing my mind. I am just tired of having a mess all the time and want a nice clean home again. I get to thinking how nice it was living in a home with everything where it belongs and decorated with the items we have collected over the years. We have so many things packed away because of working on the house I have forgotten what a lot of it looks like. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I can face it with a new attitude. I will try to overlook the dust and mess and look forward to a beautiful dining room.

YOu went through remodeling before so you know what to expect. The kitchen will be the biggest stress of them all but I suppose you know that!! We did that once in a house long ago and it was something else....but great when done. Just think when it is done you will be able to go through all of this "stuff" and find things that you long ago forgot about. thanks for wanting to help my friend out too with her blog..You are great..Sandy

My mama always use to say "you have to suffer to be beautiful" and I guess that can go towards a house too! lol She use to tell me that when making curls in my hair and I'd cry because it pulled! lol I love the border you've chosen and the curtains...hang in there Peggy, you'll soon have the kind of home you've always wanted:-) xox
