Just Another Manic Monday

Some of the girls enjoying this sunny spring like day.

Sister Sister is sitting on more eggs. One of the other hens laid a egg next to her and she got up and rolled it over to her nest. I have to lift her up to get the eggs she stole. Lucky her eggs are marked with a x.

Fred was relaxing in the sun this afternoon and didn't mind my taking a few pics.

The guineas are mad at me. They had been picking on the chickens lately and pulling their feathers out when they bite. We moved them in with the ducks. The ducks are now chasing the guineas and biting them. This is the quietest the guineas have been since we got them. I love it!

You would think Thumper was pregnant as much weight as he has put on lately.

The frizzy teens enjoying the sunshine

My lettuce loved the rain we had Sunday.

Such lovely pictures! I love the weirdness of guineas, but I know we don't have enough room to keep them happy.

I guess the guineas learned that what goes around comes around. Maybe they'll behave after this!

As always Tales from the Homestead are fun in words OR pictures!! I don't know how you manage to keep all the names straight! What's the word on Diva's due date?
XOXO

Your feathered friend look wonderful. My laying hens are restricted to the the hen house do to the cold and snow here. Perhaps, in April they call roam a little.

I look forward to getting more feathered friends, come the warmer weather.

You have lettuce up already! How neat!

Love the pictures. They remind me of days on the farm when I was a kid! Thumper looks so pretty there with the sun on him!

Sorry Peggy but I think Turkeys are so ugly!! That is why I hate this turkey hangy thing that I have developed under my chin with old age..just silly skin that has come from my face and dropped down under my chin!!
You have some animals. Always my joy to come to your site.

Wow, I can't believe you have lettuce growing! Fantastic for you but it depresses me to know end. We really have to get that greenhouse built. You "family" looks all happy and cheery. Seems the Guineas are getting a hard earned lesson. I hope they don't get pecked on too much.

Hugs to you!
