Bonfires,S'mores and Ghost Stories

The bonfire was lit. The hotdogs were roasted. S'mores disappeared faster than marshmallows could be roasted. After eating the kids had fun giving each other rides (and dumps) in the wheelbarrow. Once all the energy was spent we sat around the fire telling funny stories and then as it got dark I read some ghost stories. I have the book "Tarheel Ghosts" that tells about the ghosts from allover the state of NC. It only took a few before the kids were ready to come inside and watch the movie Duma. Showers are all taken and kids are settled down for movie and sleep. Bets on who conks out first. We tried to watch this movie last night and Hope fell asleep in the first 5 minutes, then Woody who lasted about 15 minutes, Julie lasted 30 and Zack lasted about 45. They really want to see the movie but I have doubts they will last till the end after such a busy day.

Peggy, looks like you all are having a great time!! My kind of fun too, ghost stories and all! I can't believe you have a granddaughter named Hope. When I was a kid that was a very unusual name and even today you don't hear it a lot. I'll bet she's a great kid too!:)

FUN with Grandkids!! Oh yeap I know all about that!! In fact, I pick up our 6 and 8 year old today after school and keep them until Daddy comes to get them after work. So that means homework and all of that stuff again!! I am getting used to it since every once in a while I do that since we moved here to Savannah. I am the "both of us have to work today"...picker uper!!
Have a great day...Sandy

Peggy , the kids look like they're having so much fun. Reminds me of my childhood. The world needs more of these simple pleasures in life.
The peacocks are beautiful , my grandparents had them on their farm when I was a child.
Have fun and I can't wait to see more pics.
