Diva is doing fine today. She isn't moaning and has spent part of the day out of her stall. She has even eaten some of her feed along with some alfalfa. I think the babies were just moving into position and making her very uncomfortable. I sat with her and brushed her till a little past 12:30 last night. She finally drifted off to sleep in the middle of my birthing stories. Guess I bored her to sleep but at least she slept and I came inside and slept with the monitor on. I am guessing the 2nd for kidding and William is saying the 6th. I think it would be nice for her to have them on Mothers Day the 13th but knowing Diva she will be punctual and have them the 23rd. I don't see how she can go that long without exploding though. I am just wanting her to be comfortable no matter when she has them. It breaks my heart when I hear her crying and moaning. Other news is William is competing in a sailing race! He is part of a crew in the Ensanada International. They are qualifying today and the race starts tomorrow. He is so excited and so am I. He is always working so hard that I am glad he gets to take a few days off. I told him its hard work sailing a boat much less being in a race. He will be tired but happy at the end of the race. The gosling's have grown so much! They are swimming most of the day now and making a mess the rest of the time. I am trying to handle them as much as possible so they will be tame and come to me when they grow up.

Tell Diva to hold on, I think my money is on triplets on May 20th.

If the due date is May 23, I suspect Diva devilishly arranged a conception day earlier and didn't tell her Mom:) Naughty Diva!

good luck to William!!

I think I said the 25th May but for her sake as well as yours, I hope they come before then.

I know it is lovely to have new baby goats but look at poor Diva - my heart goes out to her - she must be so uncomfortable. If I were you, Peggy, I would be an absolute nervous wreck..

I can't wait to hear how the race turns out. That ought to be a lot of fun.

Miss Diva is looking good. You have a great goat there.

The poor, poor thing...the 23rd seems SO far away when thinking of how miserable she is. It would be nice for her to deliver sooner - providing of course if that happens all would be well.
and good luck to William!!

Those goslings are SO cute, I just want to hold them!!
I'm telling you Peggy, there's a book right there - Animal Tales from Hidden Haven Homestead - I keep saying it!

oh and love the new banner!
XOXO
