Spending the Night With Diva

I was going to try and listen to Diva by the baby monitor tonight. But with all the moans and cries I am listening to I just can't do it.

I went out to check on her and saw her moaning and staring off into space

So taking my pillow, telephone, camera and birthing kit and will spend the night brushing and talking to Diva. I don't think she is in labor but I will feel better being with her and I hope she will feel better having me there. So Robyn I will let you know when you are a godmother and if you didn't know it yet all the rest of you are going to be "aunties" soon I hope.

You are such a wonderful Mom to Mrs. Diva. Wishing you lots of stars to gaze at and a nice comfy night with your Diva. If I were to guess you will be camping in the Diva house until her little darlings arrive.
I am so excited to check everyday to see if she has had her little ones yet. I am keeping firm with the Full Moon for her birth.
Wishing you all well at the Homestead.

I know know nothing about nanny goats and birthing.
But we have had horses and I can give you some signs to watch for is.

utters full of milk, a waxy build up on utters, and last 48 hours they will start dripping milk.

I also know each animal is different. Some will lay down other will stand and give birth.
Some during labor will be up and down more then others. Some will pace up and down in straight line. Some will go in circles.

I don't if this is true or not. I know some people who has cattle and they only feed there cattle in the late afternoon so all the calves are born during the day time.

Mother Nature knows what she doing and the odds are that Miss Diva will do fine.

I'll light a candle for Miss Diva and you this evening and send some positive luck your way.
