So Marci what do you think? Do you think she will actually go till May 23? I just don't see how she can carry that weight for that long. She is so miserable.
This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Udderly Soon I Hope
Marci ask me to take a picture of Diva's udder. One of the signs that she will kid soon is if her bag fills up and tightens. If you are interested here are some other signs of labor; http://www.fiascofarm.com/goats/prenatalcare.html#labor There are also graphic photos of labor and kidding if you want to view them. I am so thankful for this site as I have used it alot for information the past few months. But anyways here are pictures of Diva's udder. Please don't tell her I posted them or she will be so embarrassed! LOL

Oh poor Diva!! Man Alive!! I know how it feels to carry it out front of you...must be really heavy carrying your baby under you. I would just lay down a lot!! SMILE!! SAndy
My Tuesday post is up
Bless her heart!! She is big!! I doubt she'll go to my guess of May 21st.
But what do I know? Ha!! Time will tell. Time will tell.
oh the embarrassment of it all for ms*Diva - is there no privacy ? hee hee
she is just a gorgeous goat and I love her xoxo
ps - do baby goats wear bootees? I will have to get knitting - can I be honorary godmother?
Oh my I bet Diva was a little nervous...She was probably thinking "This isn't my best side!".
Looking forward to some babies...
Hugs,
Connie
Good morning Peggy:-) I'm back from my trip and now trying to play catch up with everyone!! Oh my, Ms Diva is indeed looking very uncomfortable, the poor thing. Hopefully she doesn't have another full month to go yet...she'll bust before then! Now on to read your other posts I missed:-) xox
Your new format is great Peggy - what a good job, I must check this source out later.
Miss Diva......poor dear.......does look very uncomfortable. Hope she delivers sooner rather than later - all those tiny kicking hooves must be painful! Can't wait to see the little darlings....hurry, hurry, hurry!!!!
Peggy, it is big and getting full. You may be surprised how much bigger she can get though. The udder is what I have always watched in the past. When it got so big and tight it was almost shiny, then I knew the birth would be within 24 to 36 hours. Well, this year's first birth blew that out of the water. She never bagged up hardly at all. =)
I don't think Miss Diva would be embarrassed at her picture. She is probably proud of her fine udder attachment. That means a lot in the show ring. =)
Hi Peggy.
Poor Diva I know how she feels, but tell her it will all be worth it in the end.
Hope your Easter went well and will talk again soon
That certainly can't be comfortable! ouch.
She certainly has my sympathy!
Poor dear Diva having to expose her bits for our education. I am fascinated by all this and would so love to be there for the birthing, I've never seen an animal born.
I will have to get out the sewing machine for the layette - if only we knew the sex. heehee
Ouch. I remember those days!
