Supper is over. The dishes are washed and put away. The kids have had their showers and settled down watching TV and reading. The animals have all been fed and settling down for the night. William and I talked on the phone about our day. Got the house picked up for the day. I actually have time to watch TV, read, write, or just sit and talk with the grands. I just love Sunday evenings! I remember as a child looking forward to Sundays. After church we would have a big meal and then play outside all afternoon. Mother would call us in to take our baths and put our pj's on so we could settle down in front of the TV with soup and sandwiches to watch "The Wonderful World of Disney". My sister and I would have pillows and be laying on our tummy on the floor. My brothers would be sprawled out on the sofa. Mother and Daddy had their own chairs. Didn't matter what was going on in the world or in our family. For that little while each Sunday evening all was right with the world. In the rush of our lives we forget to take time to just relax and enjoy each other. We don't have to hop in the car to go somewhere. We don't have to spend a lot of money on toys or games to entertain each other. We just need to take time to sit, relax and just enjoy the moment. What wonderful memories are you making with your family?

We didn't have a tv until I was older but when we did we didn't miss The Wonderful World of Disney. I'm sorry my kids didn't get to see all of those animal movies. Mom baked bread on Sunday so it was always hot rolls for Sunday supper.

My daughter says that family meals are the best part of growing up. Funny because the youngest always tells everyone I didn't cook.

It was always a big deal in our family to watch The Wonderful World of Disney, it was always a tradtion to have a big bowl of popcorn and rootbeer! You are so right you don't need a lot of stuff to be happy you just need each other. Thanks for the reminder.

Just as Disney came on, we had to leave for church. We always hated that. It is good to think back on all our memories.

Yesterday, I got to sit and visit with a friend and her family. We rarely get a chance to just sit and talk together. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
