Need A Birdhouse?

I started dusting the livingroom and noticed I had alot of birdhouses. I didn't even know I had so many. Maggie had a friend at work that gave me several and the others have just seemed to appear. My dining and kitchen are mostly chicken decor so guess its safe to say I am going for a birdhouse theme in the livingroom without knowing I was doing it. After taking pictures I did get back to finishing my dusting!

I have 2 places here in Fayetteville that is selling my soaps and lotions. With these 2 places and my etsy shop I am staying busy making soaps. I am also working on my fall scents and a Goddess Hina soap. Now I just need to take photos and get them listed.

The animals are all sleeping as its very very hot here. Temp is 105 and suppose to be like this all week. Their water gets warm very quickly so I am trying to empty and refill several times a day. I know I would hate to have to drink warm water.

Hopefully the screen will be finished on the porch tomorrow. The chickens are starting to come up and look in the back door thinking I will feed them. I sure don't want any of their "gifts" on my freshly painted porch!

Marci is having a Count Your Blessings Monday. Go on over and check out what everyone is thankful for on this beautiful Monday!

I am so thankful for my goats! Without them I would never have made soaps or cheese and would never have met some of the people I now call friend.

Boy, it has gotten hot, huh?
You know what we used to do in the long hot summers on the farm?
We would freeze water in plastic milk jugs and float them in the water troughs or buckets. It kept the water at a tolerable temp and we could just take the jug out and refreeze it without mess or wasting water. Of course, I always had to dump and change if the water had gotten yukky but those frozen milk jugs sure were a treat to the chickens and hound dogs. Stay cool...LOVE your bird houses! My front porch is where my collection seems to gather.

I hope you summer has been wonderful!

It is warm here but not sauna type hot as it is there. I just go in from a lovely evening swim in the river.

Here, let me splash a little on you!

Peggy,
My sister and brother-in-law live in Fayetteville! Maybe when I visit next, I could stop in to see you and your goats! In reality, I don't know when that will be. Thanks for sharing about your goats being a blessing. I'm really looking forward to getting ours.

Peg,

enjoyed looking at all your birdhouses.....do the two in the bottom picture need little clocks or maybe a tiny photograph of a bird peeking out?

You have really had such wonderful success with your soaps....makes me proud. LOL

I love goat cheese....I'm sure it is as tasty as your soap is scenty... I do hope your doing well with your soap....

Love your birdhouses...that use to be my theme in my family room, but I finally got rid of them, when I made my family room a tea room... I still have some birds setting around because birds are in my border....

I think it must be HOT in a lot of places. It was 103 here yesterday. WE had a funeral to go too. At the cemetery there was not even a leaf moving. It was terrible!! I have some bird houses too. I thought it was funny that you just "had" to stop and take pictures of them "then" go back to cleaning...smile..Sandy
