A Sneak Peek and a Little Rain

A little more screening to put up, hang the screen door, hang the porch light and the inside of the back porch will be finished. One section is done so I being impatient decided to set up the table and chairs. Well you can't just have a table and chairs sitting there looking lonely and bare so I hung some of my ferns and the windchime I got from a scavenger exchange I took part in and a couple of my plants setting in the corner. So here is a sneak peek of one corner of the back porch.

And we actually got some rain today. Not alot but enough to give the last of the living plants a good drink and cool things just a little. I went out on the back porch and listened to the rain hitting the tin roof. I am really looking forward to fall's cool weather and rain cause I know where I am going to be!

Your backporch is wonderful. And I don't blame you one bit--I'd be there every minute (do you have spare ones!??!) when I'm not busy either! :)

Wonderful! I know you will enjoy it immensely, It was the smartest decision we made when we built our home 3 years ago to put on the screened porch. When the weather cooperates we are back there all the time. Enjoy, ENJOY !!

What a lovely porch to sit on and read or just think. I'd like to have a cup of tea there with you and get to know you a bit better.

Your porch will be such a blessing when it's all done. The waiting for it to get done is the hard part! But look at how much work has gotten done on your house in the last year...it's been a lot!

Isn't it one of the best sounds in all the world - rain falling on a tin roof - unless you've had too much, of course.

Your deck looks lovely and I'm sure you'll spend many wonderful hours out there.

When we built our deck right along the back of the house, I used to say that we could keep the deck and sell the house!

Peggy , Your porch sure looks inviting. I love having my coffee on the porch in the early morning , and enjoying the sounds of nature.
I guess I need to hire a handyman to screen mine in. It used to be a screened porch , we took the screen out a few years back , planning to replace it and it has never been finished. Still have the screen in the storage building , waiting to be put up.
I'm going to add this home improvement to my To Do List for this fall.
We need rain too. I'm so happy to hear that you got some rain. We only got a sprinkle yesterday. It's been about 3 weeks , since we had a good rain. My garden is drying up.
Hope your weekend is wonderful and you get to enjoy your porch some.

Really peaceful looking porch you have there. The plants and windchimes are the perfect finishing touches. I love windchimes and have several inside my home, in doorways so they tinkle when the breeze blows through.

I just discovered your site! I am enjoying reading about you! I love your porch and will have to live vicariously through you as I do not have a place for one. I think porches are the ultimate in stress relievers!
